My long Silence

Wow where do I  begin. I was so sick writing my last post. The day after I found a lump in my breast. Then day after that my dad nearly died with a heart attack. He had double bypass the next day. I have been so busy helping dad and my body pain worse.  Then last week dad had been hurting again and they found 99% blockage in same bypass. This time they did a stent and balloon. We are home praise God. Praise God from who all blessings flow...... have a blessed day!
PS Dad is doing great again... Im still in pain...but the lump went away!

Way under the weather. Hope to be back soon!

Superbowl Sunday

I have always liked the Patriots. I cut my cable off so I could have a Smartphone! Smart uh?

I have been putting away the rest of my Christmas things. I know you wonder why have I taken so long. Well some things I just can't do as fast as other. I started a Medrol Pak on Friday and I can already tell it is working. I am so thankful. Otherwise today I would have been in bed most of the day.

I have had this lovely angel lamp hid in the back bedroom. I decided to bring it out to the dining room with the gold Angel as well to be around all my Angels!

My 3 Grandchildren are in these pictures. Sean age 17, Hunter nearly 6 and Tyler our Angel.

 

Remember our snow this time last year, February 4th 2011??

The snow on the berries looked like white cotton candy!

From my front porch. This snow was the most I have seen here in some years. It was beautiful!

Here are my deer. They had to get a part of the action too!

I wish we could get another snow like that this year. I don't see it with my trees trying to budding and my daffodils and flower plants coming up. I think they are scratching their heads just like we are! But it is not impossible for another snow. I have seen a big snow here in April!

Hope everyone is doing well! I am still trying to put away Christmas things in my home. I got more out than normal because all my family were here.

I truly don't want to part with my gorgeous teapot......

nor my Christmas Quilt!!!!

But oh well.... Christmas will be here again before we know it... right??

It is pouring rain here in Arkansas. Seems like spring... but cooler weather is coming Sunday! I love winter. We had a good snow last year... looking for another this year but not holding my breath.

Quilts and more

This is my second quilt I made. It was special. I gave it to my sister. Here in the picture, it was not finished. I never thought I would be displaying it public.  I appliqued my own Angel in the middle. It turned out to be my most beautiful of all  my quilts.

Here is a child's Halloween quilt I did make last year. I made 2 of these, one for my friend's grandson and one for my grandson. The fabric was a bit scary but this was the panel they chose. I have fabric to make many Christmas quilts but with my health I have not made any in a while. I have a King size Halloween quilt to make that I did start last year.

Who knows.... maybe I will make a Cupcake quilt next to go with my Cupcake pillow!!! I just loves cupcakes.

Here are my Cupcake towels on my stove. Wish those were coming out of my over... uh... I think I can smell them now!

 I woke up this morning with many errands to run... meds for dad and I. My Medrol Pack had gone from $4 to $43.... go figure... if all generics do this... I will have a big problem.

The World is coming up CUPCAKES!

 

 And oh Baby.... I would love to sink my teeth into this one...

Oh yes and this one too...... I can just taste it!  It seems there are lots of cupcakes here and there and everywhere. As Valentine's Day draws near you can bet you will see lots of them. I have been fascinated with all the colors and different displays of cupcakes these days. Oh did I mention they are comforting too! Sit down, grab a blanket, a good book, and a cupcake and all is right in the world.... well unless you are diabetic like me... : (   but I will eat one on occasion... more than I should...... Way more than I should.
I love this time of year...looking forward to Spring. The trees are trying to bud but don't they know it is not time yet? It seems the seasons are not sure of anything...whether it is Winter or Summer.... Spring or Fall....

Starting the New Year

I have always loved the start of a New Year. Things seem fresher, newer, quieter, and my thoughts are filled with new visions of a peaceful more relaxing New Year.

After a week now into 2012 I have decided some of my resolutions.....(ha..better late than never, right?) Anyway.... to pray more, read more inspirational books, love more, eat better, and try to become a better me. I want to discover some "hidden" talents this year. I have a yearning to draw, or start on one of my long time talents of quilting and maybe start the 5 or 6 I have fabric and plans for, OR mostly get this blog going!! My pc is going south and I can't even bring my 20,000+ photos up!! I shall put my hand on it and pray it will work like new again!  I pray for people.... so if you need prayer let me know and I will put you on my list. I pray every night. If I can't do anything for anyone... I can pray and that is the most important thing. 

I have decided that I no longer want to find or have a mate. I have no pets and that is fine too. At 55 and no job, no income, no health insurance, no disability yet....  you may think... how can I make it?   With faith in God I will make it. OUR faith is what He wants so He can work in OUR life. All things are possible to him who believe!

Lord help me just to feel better. I have Fibromyalgia and each day is a painful day but I am going to make it! I am bound and determined!

I can say this..... 2011 has been the fastest year to pass by. By the time we look up it will be 2013!

I have 2 followers now. Yippee! Check out their blogs!

Well I shall get off here, go lay down under my electric blanket and watch for a movie, book, and get warm and snug.

I can't read the print of my "about me" and don't know how to change the color of it. How funny I am. Sometimes we need a good laugh at ourselves!

It's 3 A.M.

I woke at 3 a.m.   God did not die on the Cross for me so I could wake up with worry. He gave His life so I would be free from all worry.... yet I still worry. Lord please take all my concerns, fear, and worry at this time and help me to see you have not let me down yet. 

Not sure why I am writing this on my blog... I guess because I just need to put it out there somewhere. I could not even find my blog to post on it. LOL  It was just hanging around in my file of bloggers. I hope I can get serious with this some day as I love to write.
